Agathe Baroque est magicienne dans la cit\u00e9 de Diantry. Libertine, elle s\u2019ennuie au royaume. F\u00e9rue de l\u00e9gendes, elle entend parler de la disparition de deux fillettes, pr\u00e9tendument enlev\u00e9es par un ours. Elle y voit l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 d\u2019\u00e9gayer son quotidien.

Une nouvelle de 38 pages que j\u2019ai trouv\u00e9 plut\u00f4t compl\u00e8te.

Agathe est magicienne. Libertine, elle drague sans retenue et en abusant de l\u2019alcool. Pendant l\u2019acte, elle n\u2019h\u00e9site pas \u00e0 utiliser la magie pour soumettre son partenaire. Passionn\u00e9e de l\u00e9gendes, elle lit en permanence. J\u2019ai aim\u00e9 le personnage d\u2019Agathe, impertinente et directive. Le caract\u00e8re de la magicienne est affirm\u00e9, elle m\u00e8ne son petit monde \u00e0 la baguette et d\u00e9teste qu\u2019on lui r\u00e9siste. La magie est son tout et sans elle, elle ne se sent pas compl\u00e8te. J\u2019ai appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 que l\u2019auteur appuie sur cet aspect du personnage pour me faire l\u2019appr\u00e9cier. Pour autant, je n\u2019ai pas ressenti son \u00e9ventuelle puissance en terme de magie. Avec un tel temp\u00e9rament, j\u2019aurai pens\u00e9 qu\u2019elle serait un peu moins calme, moins accessible.

Le d\u00e9roul\u00e9 de l\u2019histoire est agr\u00e9able, coh\u00e9rent. Le fond de l\u2019histoire est original et j\u2019ai appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 ma lecture, surtout \u00e0 partir du moment o\u00f9 Agathe et la garde du prince partent \u00e0 la recherche de l\u2019Ours et des fillettes. L\u2019auteur est habile dans la description de l\u2019\u00e9poque, en terme de lieux mais surtout au niveau du langage. Le vocabulaire est pr\u00e9cieux, lisse et pompeux mais tr\u00e8s immersif. C\u2019est joliment voire po\u00e9tiquement racont\u00e9. Le seul d\u00e9calage r\u00e9el que j\u2019ai not\u00e9 vient du fait que l\u2019auteur indique qu\u2019Agathe est alcoolique. Je n\u2019ai absolument pas eu ce ressenti. Je trouve m\u00eame que l\u2019accent n\u2019est pas assez mis sur l\u2019alcool et sa consommation, compar\u00e9 \u00e0 d\u2019autres romans que j\u2019ai pu lire concernant la m\u00eame \u00e9poque. Pour autant, cela ne m\u2019a pas g\u00ean\u00e9e dans l\u2019appr\u00e9ciation de ma lecture, puisque je me suis focalis\u00e9e sur la recherche des petites.

Les sc\u00e8nes de sexe sont explicites mais, comme avec l\u2019alcool, elles ne sont pas non plus tr\u00e8s d\u00e9taill\u00e9es. Je n\u2019ai pas ressenti d\u2019emoi lors de leur lecture, mais j\u2019ai su appr\u00e9cier les sous-entendus que ces sc\u00e8nes laissaient filtrer. J\u2019ai \u00e9t\u00e9 touch\u00e9e par la sensibilit\u00e9 d\u2019Agathe, alors que j\u2019aurai pens\u00e9 y trouver de la hargne et de la domination.

Les sc\u00e8nes de combats sont agr\u00e9ables \u00e0 lire, d\u00e9taill\u00e9es et immersives. L\u2019univers fantasy est ma\u00eetris\u00e9 mais m\u00e9riterait d\u2019\u00eatre approfondi.


Finalement, je me suis attendu \u00e0 lire ce que l\u2019auteur a indiqu\u00e9 dans son r\u00e9sum\u00e9, j\u2019ai lu quelque chose que j\u2019ai interpr\u00e9t\u00e9 aux antipodes de ce qui \u00e9tait pr\u00e9vu, mais peu importe, j\u2019ai vraiment appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 la lecture de cette magicienne libertine, qui sait faire preuve de fermet\u00e9 – voire ses cruaut\u00e9 – si on la blesse.

N\u2019h\u00e9sitez pas \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir ce texte court, plut\u00f4t complet et bien \u00e9crit.<\/p>
